NOCONA ROTARY NEWS

Barbara Leonard, from "A Hand Up" gave our Tuesday, August 18 program. "A Hand Up" serves an incredible number of families in the northern Montague county area. It porvides not only food, but clothing, home furnishings and employment opportunities.

A barbecue lunch was provided by president Rusty Fenoglio and his wife, Carolyn.

Rotary International is a service organization. Nocona Rotary meets at 12:05 every Tuesday at the Rotary Hall at 205 Elm St.

Rotary News

The Rotary Club of Nocona met on Tuesday, August 11 at noon. James Yohe introduced David and Denise Brewer, career counselors, who gave an informative presentation. They outlined their Our Career Quest program for junior and senior high school students. It provides for interviews with students and parents, scholarship searches, tools for making informed career decisions and choosing the appropriate colleges.

Considering the high cost of a college degree, coupled with a struggling economy, their program offers an opportunity to evaluate goals for satisfying careers.
